ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the proprietor of a dyeing unit and he is neither in possession of the same, nor operating it. To avoid statutory liability, the petitioner has submitted a representation before the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board and to the Executive Engineer, TANGEDCO for immediate disconnection on 27.07.2025, which is pending consideration without any action.
3. Without commenting upon the merits, we direct respondent Nos.2 and 3 to take a decision on the representation within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
5. It is made clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
