O R D E R

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence under Section 296(b), 115(2), 118(1) and 351(3) of BNS Act, 2023 in Crime No.254 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that he attacked the defacto 1/4

complainant with knife on suspicion that he is the informer to the police regarding illegal selling of arrack by this petitioner. Hence, the case has been registered.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that he is having 150 previous cases and he is also a habitual offender in History Sheeter No.2 of 2014. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, taking note of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), and his previous antecedents, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 24.09.2025 ssi 2/4
