ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against respondents to mention in the service joining report as if the petitioner had joined and reported to duty on 01.03.2021 Forenoon instead of Afternoon on 01.03.2021.

2.The issue is very narrow. The petitioner had joined service on 01.03.2021 on being selected and temporarily appointed as Gangman (Trainee) by proceedings dated 26.02.2021. The only issue is whether he had joined service in the morning or in the afternoon. The petitioner claims that he had joined in the morning. To verify that particular fact, the respondents were directed to produce the original service register of the petitioner. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents had produced

the original service register, which was perused by this Court. On perusal of the same, this Court had noted as follows on 25.02.2025. "Original records has been produced. It is clear that the petitioner joined only in the afternoon. It is implied that the documents produced by the petitioner cannot be considered as projecting the correct facts. The service register has been returned back and need not be produced. Call the matter again on 13.03.2025."

3.It is thus seen that the petitioner had joined only in the afternoon on 01.03.2021. Therefore, no correction is required in the service register. The mandamus as sought cannot be issued. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
