ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation dated 26.10.2024 for removal of a boulder obstructing the road at 1st Main Road, Almelumangapuram Madipakkam, Chennai 600 091.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is a resident in the area of 1st Main Road, Madipakkam, Chennai and has been living of this neighborhood. But there has been a disturbance to the peaceful living of this neighborhood. A large builder has been positioned in the middle of the road at the aforesaid address. This obstruction is severely impeding the free flow of traffic creating unsafe conditions for motorists, pedestrians and local residents. The obstruction of the road due to the boulder has led to severe traffic congestion. The road already narrow is now nearly impassable forcing vehicles to navigate dangerously close to each other. The presence of the boulder has deprived children of a safe space to play. Hence, the petitioner has given a representation to the respondents dated 26.10.2024 for removal of a boulder obstructing the Page No.2 of 4
road and also to restore the road to its original condition was given but no action has been taken by the respondents. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that he has given a representation dated 26.10.2024 for removal of boulder obstructing the road at Almelumangapuram, Madipakkam, Chennai 91 to the respondents and no orders have been passed till date.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the first respondent as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 26.10.2024 will be considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
5. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and also perused the materials available on records.

6. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.10.2024 on merits, in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. This writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
