PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to produce the body of the detenu by name Srinivas, Son of Petitioner herein aged 21 years, presently confined at Central Prison, Salem before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith, after calling for the records pertaining to the detention order dated 17.11.2024 in C.M.P.No.71/GOONDA/2024 (M1) passed by the second respondent and quash the same.

ORDER

Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the impugned order of detention has already been revoked by the competent Authority vide G.O.Rt.No.8886, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 26.12.2024.
Thus, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken and the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
