Ramajayammal v. The Special Tahsildar

C.M.P.No.28039 of 2024 and A.S.SR.No.112018 of 2024 Dr.G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.

This petition is filed to condone the delay of 1651 days in preferring appeal against the award passed by the Land Acquisition Tribunal.

2. Though the delay in filing the appeal is inordinate, the reasons explained in the affidavit are found to be partially satisfactory. However, the appellants cannot be granted any premium in the form of interest or solatium for the delayed period, in the event of they ultimately succeed in the appeal.

3. Subject to this condition, the delay of 1651 days in preferring the appeal is condoned and this petition is ordered accordingly.
