The petitioner herein who was arrested on 11.08.2025 for the alleged offence punishable under Section 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) and 29(1) of NDPS Act in Crime No.401 of 2025 on the file of the respondent, seeks bail. 1/4

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were found in illegal possession of 1.200 Kgs of Ganja. Hence, the case.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that no recovery was effected from the petitioner and based on the confession statement of the co-accused, the petitioner has been arrayed as an accused. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any condition imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the petitioner is used to accompany with A1 and purchased the contraband from Andhra Pradesh and used to sell the same in the city. He further submitted that the investigation is at initial stage and the petitioner is having nine previous cases of IPC offence. Hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner. 5.Considering the fact that the investigation is at initial stage and 2/4

there are 9 previous cases pending against the petitioner and he was arrested only on 11.08.2025, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 24.09.2025 smv To 1.The Inspector of Police, G-1, Vepery Police Station, Chennai.
