C.M.P.No.29423 of 2023 in WA No.2773 of 2023 THE HON'BLE CHIEF JUSTICE and D.BHARATHA CHAKRAVARTHY, J.

This application is filed by the petitioners seeking permission to deposit the sum of Rs.40,00,000/-. Learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that since there was a delay of two days in depositing the amount, the Registry did not accept it and seeks extension of time.

We have heard the learned Counsel for the second respondent.

Considering bonafides shown of depositing the amount of Rs.40,00,000/- and there was a delay of only two days, we permit the petitioners to deposit the sum of Rs.40,00,000/- by 29.01.2024.

This application stands disposed of.

If the amount is deposited by 29.01.2024, then, the interim protection granted earlier under the order, dated 11.10.2023 shall continue till the next date. In case, the petitioners fail to deposit the amount, as directed, the interim order shall automatically stand vacated.
