The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent Police to conduct further investigation in Crime No.170 of 2024, which was registered based on the complaint given by the petitioner/de facto complainant, for the offences under Section 281 and 125(a) of BNS, on the file of the second respondent Police, on 11.09.2024.
When the matter was taken up for hearing today, there was no representation for the petitioner.

Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the investigation in Crime No.170 of 2024 is still pending and therefore, the prayer seeking further investigation is not maintainable at this stage.

Heard the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) and perused the materials available on record. 2/4

Taking into consideration the fact that the investigation in this case is still pending, this Court is of the view that no direction, as sought by the petitioner, can be issued at this stage. 6.
Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
