ORDER

(Order of the court was made by R. MAHADEVAN, J.) Seeking a mandamus to the 1st respondent to recognise the L.L.B. (Hons.) and L.L.M. degrees acquired by the petitioner in University of Edinburgh and University of Cambridge, respectively, as valid to enable him to apply for the Civil Services Examination 2024 to be conducted by the 2nd respondent or for a direction to the 2nd respondent to grant an exception as per Clause 3(III)(Note-II) of the eligibility conditions of the notification dated 01.02.2023, based on his representations dated 23.10.2023 and 13.12.2023, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw 2/4

this writ petition, with liberty to approach the competent authority in the manner known to law, with regard to the validity of educational qualifications. He has also made an endorsement in the case bundle, to that effect.

3. In view of the submission and endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, liberty is granted and this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs.
