ORDER

The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 24(1) Cigarette and other Tobacco Products Act and 123 of BNS Act in Crime No.302 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that he joined hands with other accused transported a huge quantity of banned tobacco products; 4650 pieces of hans (each 20 grams) and cool lip 256 pieces (each 12.5 grams) and vimal pan masala 840 pieces (each 2.5 grams). Hence the complainant

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. The offences in the earlier registered cases have already been compounded, and therefore, he prays to grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police, reported this petitioner has 5 previous cases of a similar

nature and actively participated in transporting these products. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering nature of the allegation, the petitioner's bad antecedents, and the quantity of banned tobacco products, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
