For Petitioner : Mr.T.Gowthaman, Senior Counsel for Ms.S.Karpagapriya For Respondents : Ms.Keerthana Shenoi for Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh Standing Counsel - R1 to R3

O R D E R

Ms.Keerthana Shenoi, learned counsel on behalf of Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for R1 to R3, being the officials of TANGEDCO and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission. No notice is thought necessary at this juncture to the private respondents, arrayed as R4 and R5, in light of order proposed to be passed now in this Writ Petition.

2. The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing respondents 1 to 3 to act upon the representation of the petitioner dated 10.11.2023 and consequently provide a sub-connection and a separate meter to the first floor of the property at 34/18, Ganapathy Street, Pollachi ('property'/'property in question').

3. There is no justification for the present Writ Petition insofar as the instructions conveyed by the respondent counsel is that there are already two service connections for the property in question. An inspection has also been conducted upon a complaint filed by the petitioner against the private

respondents and the respondents have found no cause to intervene as the matter relates to a private dispute between the parties.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the private respondents, in order to force the petitioner to leave the property have been switching the supply to her portion off which greatly inconveniences her. The petitioner is granted liberty to approach the authorities to enable a proper methodology to secure the connection to her portion.

5. Representation, if any, filed in this regard, shall be considered and disposed by the respondents, after hearing the petitioner and the private respondents, within a period of one week from date of receipt of such application.

6. This Writ Petition is dismissed though with liberty as aforesaid. No costs.
