ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to quash the Impugned order in Na.Ka.No.A2/582/2017 dated 12-07-2019 on the file of the 2nd Respondent and to direct the 2nd Respondent to grant extension of time to the petitioner for period of 3 months to uproot the Seemaikaruvel trees grown in the land bearing S.No.122, Achangulam Kanmoi, Vallarnthal Group, Sivagangai District to an extent of 136.63.5 Hectares.

As per the order of this Court, the authorities conducted auction and during the month of March 2018 the Petitioner was given contract to cut and remove Karuvel and Velikaruvel Trees grown in the land bearing S.No.122, Achangulam Kanmoi, Vallarnthal Group, Sivagangai District to an extent of 136.63.5 Hectares and after the expiry of the lease period the same was extened upto 31.10.2018. Now the Government has taken a policy decision Page 2 / 4

to remove all the trees from the water bodies and we have also passed several directions to the Government to invite public tenders. In such a view of the matter if the petitioner is interested, it is open to him to participate the public tender which may be called for by the Government.
