ORDER

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the first respondent, viz., the Senior Revenue Officer, Zone-15, Grater Chennai Corporation, Chennai, not to conduct any enquiry subsequent to the proceedings dated 27.11.2024 till the disposal of I.A.No.1 of 2024 in A.S.SR.No.9140 of 2020 now pending on the file of the Subordinate Court, Alandur, Chennai.

Such a prayer cannot be granted by this Court. The petitioner has not taken steps to number the first appeal from the year 2020 and now seeks a blanket injunction as against the first respondent not to conduct any enquriy.

It is contended on behalf of the first respondent that the enquiry is conducted as per the direction of the jurisdictional police station wherein a criminal complaint has been lodged. The petitioner is the tenant and the owner of the property is the second respondent.

The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent is also present and he contended that the petitioner had obtained license by using fraudulent documents. Those are issues to be examined by the trial Court. 5.

As a matter of fact, in an earlier writ petition in W.P.No.15996 of 2013, a learned Single Judge of this Court by an order dated 28.11.2013, had directed the Corporation to inspect the premises for issuance of license. That writ petition was also filed by the petitioner herein. I find no merits in this writ petition.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
