Mr.J.C.Durairaj, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the sole respondent, Director of Matriculation Schools and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission.

2. He accedes to the receipt of representation of the petitioner dated 13.09.2023 from the petitioner. Therein, the petitioner seeks permission to upgrade the present Matriculation School to a Higher Secondary School.

3. Since the prayer itself is only for a direction to the respondent to consider the representation and in light of the fact that the representation is, admittedly, pending with the respondent, mandamus is issued to the sole respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.09.2023, hear him and dispose the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
