Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents herein from preventing the members of the petitioner's Club playing the game of Rummy along with Carom Board, Table Tennis, Chess, Gym, Billiards and Library at No.4-224/2, S.F.No.407/2, Kallangattu Valasu, Kumarapalayam Taluk, Namakkal District - 638 183.

This petition has been filed seeking to issue writ of mandamus, forbearing the respondents herein from preventing the members of the petitioner's Club playing the game of Rummy along with Carom Board, Table Tennis, Chess, Gym, Billiards and Library at No.4-224/2, S.F.No.407/2, Kallangattu Valasu, Kumarapalayam Taluk, Namakkal District - 638 183.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner made a request to the 3rd respondent to consider the representation dated 23.10.2024, which was subsequently rejected by the 3rd respondent, Kumarapalayam Police Station, Kumarapalayam Taluk, Namakkal District, 2/5

vide order dated 27.12.2024.

3. Further, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner need not obtain any permission to play the game of Rummy, along with Carom, Table Tennis, Chess, Gym, Billiards, and Library activities, at No. 4-224/2, S.F. No. 407/2, Kallangattu Valasu, Kumarapalayam Taluk, Namakkal District - 638 183, in the petitioner's club.

4. In the similar circumstances, this Court passed an order imposing certain conditions:

(i) The petitioner is permitted to play the games of rummy and the respondent shall not interfere with the affairs of the petitioner's club. (ii) However, if the petitioner conducts any illegal games, the respondent shall interfere with the club's activities and take appropriate action against the petitioner in accordance with law.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
