(The order of the Court was made by J.Nisha Banu,J.) This Contempt Petition has been filed for wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.14109 of 2018 dated 07.09.2023.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the 2nd respondent, in complete disobedience of the Government Orders, the order of this Court and the Circulars issued by the State Government, have started construction of the Vinayagar Temple within the Government premises. Learned counsel for the petitioner would specifically contend that as per the direction of the Division Bench of this Court, inspection was conducted and only on the date of inspection, Page 2/4

pillars were raised.

3. A perusal of records shows that the temple is not a newly constructed one. The pillars in the temple were already in existence and only the roof has been put up. It is also seen that the temple is in existence from the year 1937. Therefore, we are of the view that no case of contempt is made out by the petitioner. Hence, the Contempt Petition stands closed.
