ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.P.Dinesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.K.Karthik Jagannath, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 5 and Mr.P.Harish, learned Government Advocate, appearing for the fifth respondent.

2. Mr.K.Karthik Jagannath, learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submits that drive to remove encroachment was conducted on 29.11.2023. Totally, 27 encroachments were identified and three encroachments were removed. The remaining 24 encroachments could not be removed as the land was under cultivation, and the same would be removed within eight weeks.

3. The said statement is accepted. The writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, WMP No.1261 of 2024 is closed.
