..Respondent(s) Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to retrospectively grant the petitioner promotion to Grade VII with effect from the 1st day of November 2023 and accordingly revise and settle the petitioners retirement benefits, including pension, arrears of salary till the date of superannuation, difference in gratuity and leave encashment. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 17.03.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner has made a representation, dated 17.03.2025 before the first respondent seeking promotion to Grade VII with effect from 01.11.2023 and to revise and settle the retirement benefits, including pension, arrears of salary till the date of superannuation, difference in gratuity and leave encashment. Since the same has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Ms.R.Suchitra, learned counsel, accepts notice on behalf of second respondent.

4. Though many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2025, as expeditiously as possible.

5. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 17.03.2025 will be considered and appropriate order will be passed within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

7. Accordingly, the first respondent is directed to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation, dated 17.03.2025, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
