The contempt petition has been filed complaining willful disobedience of the Order passed by this Court dated 06.06.2024 in W.P.No. 14741 of 2024.

2. On perusal of the said order, the Court directed the first and second respondents to disburse the amount to the petitioner, in respect of which the petitioner is found to be eligible. Certain benefits have been paid.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the second respondent alone did not pay the particular sum based on the commutation, which was not made at the relevant time.

4. However, it is the contention of the learned counsel for the second respondent that the petitioner is not eligible for the same as per the Rules and 2/4

they have passed an order on 01.10.2024.

5. In that view of the matter, if the petitioner is aggrieved, it will be open for the petitioner to challenge the said order in the manner known to law. As far as the contempt petition is concerned, since the order directed the payment of the amount, if eligible as per the rules and when the second respondent is contesting that the petitioner is not eligible for the said benefit under the rules, the same cannot be gone into in this contempt petition.

6. Keeping open the liberty of the petitioner to raise his grievance by appropriate petition in appropriate manner, the contempt petitioner stands closed. If the petitioner contends that he is entitled to some more benefits, the liberty is open for him to challenge the calculation or the denial in the manner known to law. No costs.
