O R D E R

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 05.08.2025, for the offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 296(b), 309(4), 311 & 351(2) of BNS, 2023, in Crime No.257 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the de facto complainant is running a tiffin shop in the push-cart. On 05.08.2025, the petitioner came to his shop and demanded money. Since he refused, the petitioner abused him in filthy language and assaulted him using knife. Further, the petitioner robbed a sum of Rs.1,080/- and threatened the de facto complainant with dire consequences. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and has been falsely implicated in this case. The petitioner is ready and willing to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner. 2/4

4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner, on the ground that the petitioner herein is having 13 previous cases.

5. Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the gravity of the offences and bad antecedents, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
