The petitioner herein was arrested on 05.06.2025 for the alleged offence punishable under Section 8(c) r/w 22(c) and 29(1) of NDPS Act in Crime No.387 of 2025 on the file of the respondent, seeks bail. 1/4

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were found in illegal possession of 700 grams of Methamphetamine (Commercial Quantity). Hence, the case.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and no way connected with alleged offence and a false case has been foisted against him. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any condition imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the contraband seized is of commercial quantity and the case against the petitioner attracts rigors of Section 37 of NDPS Act. He further submitted that the investigation is at initial stage. Hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

5.Considering the fact that the investigation is at initial stage and no grounds are raised for satisfying the conditions stipulated under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
