The Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.910 of 2023 registered by the Respondent Police for the offences originally under Sections 419 and 420 IPC and subsequently altered to Sections 419, 420, 465 and 467 IPC.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) stated that the Petitioner has been arrayed as Accused A2 and his wife/Chithra has been arrayed as Accused A1 in this case. He also stated that the Accused A1 had been arrested and later she had been released on bail.

It is the case of the prosecution that the Accused A1 and this Petitioner had started a Xerox Centre at Aminjikarai and used to help the customers for applying Aadhar Card, Pan Card and Community certificates. It is stated that the Accused A1 used to collect the details of pregnant women who used to visit the Kasthuribai Maternity Hospital at Chepauk by stating that they would get insurance amount by using the Aadhar Card and Pan Card. They prepared further fake Aadhar Card and other documents and availed loans.

4. The learned counsel for the Petitioner stated that it was one Divya who came over to the house of the Petitioner herein and had collected the documents and obtained the loan. It is stated that there was an identity mistake and the Petitioner had been wrongly added as a party. But it is also the specific case of the Respondent that there are two other complaints of similar nature that had been received in two other Police Stations and the investigation have to be done in all the issues.

5. Insofar as this particular case is concerned, the Accused had received a loan amount of sum of Rs.1,98,448/- from "Prefer Finance" on 22.08.2023 using the forged documents. Since the investigation will have to be done not only on this particular case but also on the other complaints, at this stage, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the Petitioner herein. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 04.01.2024 mkn2 2/3
