[Made by S. M. SUBRAMANIAM, J.,] This contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondent for his wilful disobedience of the order dated 28.03.2024 in W.P.No.16259 of 2023.

2. The Assistant Commissioner, West Zone, Coimbatore Corporation, issued an order in proceedings dated 27.04.2023, stating that the subject land occupied by the petitioner was earmarked as open space to be used for public purpose.

3. The lands reserved for some specific public purposes cannot be used for any other purpose other than that for which they were earmarked. The application submitted by the petitioner seeking conversion was rejected and the writ petition in W.P.No.16259 of 2023 came to be filed by the writ petitioner. This Court, disposed of the writ petition by an order dated 28.03.2024, granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the Corporation with the necessary application. the application filed by the petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with the law and policy. In pursuant to the order passed in the writ petition, once again the Assistant Commissioner, West Zone, Coimbatore Corporation, passed an order.

4. In view of the said factum, the petitioner has not made out any case for initiation of the contempt proceedings, as no wilful disobedience of the order has been established.
