O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents herein from preventing the members of the petitioner's club from playing the game of rummy along with carom board, table tennis, chess, gym, billiards and library at No.187/2A, Poosaripatti, Pollachi, Coimbatore District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents/police and perused the materials available on record.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents/Police submitted that case in Crime No.217 of 2024 has been registered as against the petitioner and 11 others for the offence under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Gaming and Police Laws Act 1930 (Amendment 2021) on 09.11.2024 on the file of the third respondent of police.

4. In view of the same, the petitioner is not entitled to get the relief as sought for in this writ petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy in the manner known to law after filing of the charge sheet.
