Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd and 4th respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 17.07.2025 seeking for reconveyance of the property situated in Alagusamundram Village, comprised in S. No 45/4, Omalur Taluk, Salem District, measuring an extent of 4 Acres 80 Cents to petitioner.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the 4th respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner to reconvey the property comprised in S.No 45/4, situated at Alagusamundram Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District, measuring an extent of 4 Acres 80 cents.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner's grandfather was the original owner of the subject property. In the year 1971, the said property was acquired for the formation of the Steel Plant at Salem, for which his grandfather received compensation. He was also assured that employment would be provided to a member of his family. Accordingly, the petitioner, being the grandson, was provided employment as an Office Assistant in the Tamil Nadu HR & CE Department, Salem.

4. Now, the petitioner has submitted a representation seeking re2/5

conveyance of the subject property. However, since the petitioner's grandfather had already received compensation and the petitioner was provided employment for the acquired land and the said land has been utilized by the Steel Plant, the request made by the petitioner for reconveyance of the said property cannot be considered.
