Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records peruse the order dated 02.12.2024 issued by the second respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the second respondent to grant the permission to conduct the cultural programme and devotional songs.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pursuant to the order dated 02.12.2024 issued by the second respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the second respondent to grant permission to conduct the cultural programme on 14.12.2024.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent Police and perused the materials available on record.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner made representation dated 30.09.2024 to conduct cultural programme on 14.12.2024, before the second respondent and the same was rejected by the second respondent. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner filed the present writ petition. He further submitted that half yearly examination for school children was
scheduled on the same date and if the petitioners are allowed to conduct cultural programme, it would cause inconvenience to the school children who are preparing for their examination. However, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the petitioners would be permitted to conduct the festival/cultural programme immediately after the completion of half yearly examination.

In view of the above submission, the petitioner is directed to submit a representation afresh and on receipt of such representation, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's request and accord permission to conduct cultural programme after the half-yearly examinations of school students are concluded.
5. With the abovesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 13.12.2024 mfa Index:Yes/No Speaking Order: Yes/No
