Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 05.07.2025 and 07.07.2025 to make necessary corrections in the revenue records namely ARegister pertaining to Survey No.35 of the Perunkalathur Village & Post, Thandrampet Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District - 606 708 and classify as WATER CHANNEL instead of Cart Track within a time frame as fixed by this Court. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 05.07.2025 and 07.07.2025, wherein the petitioner has requested to make necessary corrections in the revenue records relating to the subject property and to classify the property as 'Water Channel' instead of cart track. 2/5

2. Heard Mr.Krishna Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the private respondents by taking advantage of the wrong entry that has been made in the revenue records as cart track, is trying to lay a road. In such circumstances, the petitioner submitted representations to the official respondents to make necessary corrections in the revenue records pertaining to the subject property by classifying the property as 'Water Channel' instead of cart track. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the representations made by the petitioner on 05.07.2025 and 07.07.2025, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity to the fifth respondent and a final decision shall be taken within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5
