Apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No.262 of 2021 registered for the offences punishable under Sections5 and 7 (3) of Lottery Regulation Act, 1988, the present petition has been filed seeking anticipatory bail.
2.Pleading innocence on the part of the petitioner, false implication in the case, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks indulgence of this Court. He further submits that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court.
3.The case of the prosecution as putforth by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police, opposing for grant of anticipatory bail, is that he used to collect banned lotteries and attempted to sell the same. He further submitted that, apart from this case, petitioner has nineteen previous cases of similar in nature pending against the Page No.1 of 3
petitioner and therefore, the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much required.
4. Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner and also the fact that the petitioner has got nineteen previous cases which are similar in nature pending against him, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
