Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to transfer the petitioner, to Perunkalathur Village, which was selected in the Village Administrative officers transferring counseling held on 02.07.2025 by considering the petitioner representation dated 28.07.2025 and pass appropriate order within time frame fixed by this Honourable Court.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to transfer the petitioner to Perunkalathur Village, based on the transfer counseling held on 02.07.2025, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 28.07.2025 within a stipulated time frame

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was appointed as a Village Administrative Officer on 08.02.2013 and has been serving in Tiruvannamalai District since the date of his appointment. On 30.06.2025, the 2nd respondent issued a notification for the Village Administrative Officers' transfer counselling, scheduled to be held on 02.07.2025. Accordingly, the petitioner participated in the said counselling and opted for Perunkalathur Village as his place of posting.

3. On 28.07.2025, the petitioner submitted a representation to the 2nd respondent, requesting implementation of the transfer counselling held on 02.07.2025 and issuance of the posting order. However, no action has been taken on the said representation till date. Hence, this Writ Petition. 2/5

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents and perused the records available.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.07.2025 on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not made any observation with regard to the merits or claims of the petitioner.
