ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents, particularly, third respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 06.10.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for removal of the name of fifth respondent from the patta pertaining to the subject property.

2. Heard Mr.M.Jaisingh, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 4.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the first petitioner had purchased the subject property on 17.07.2000. The grievance of the petitioner is that the fifth respondent had managed to get patta in his name with respect to the subject property. On coming to know of the 2/4

same, the petitioner submitted a representation on 06.10.2025 to the official respondents to cancel the patta issued in the name of the fifth respondent and issue patta in the name of the first petitioner. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to third respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 06.10.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law after affording opportunity to the fifth respondent and pass final orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
