ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) The present Contempt Petition has been instituted to punish the respondent for their willful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 12.12.2022 in WP.No.33347 of 2022.

2. Following orders are passed by this Court, "...

4. Recording the submission of the learned State Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.09.2022 and pass orders on the same within a period of two months, after giving notice to the affected parties. No costs. "

3. Learned Special Government Pleader would submit that an enquiry was conducted by the District Collector by considering the representation submitted by petitioner, and a direction was issued to the Block Development Officer for removal of encroachments in the water body poramboke.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that encroachments are yet to be removed.

5. Since there is no willful disobedience of the order of this Court, District Collector is directed to ensure that the authority competent removes the encroachments in the water body by following the procedure as contemplated under the statutes.

6. With the above direction, the contempt petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, are closed.
