ORDER
This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case, Cr.No.192 of 2012 was registered for the alleged offences under Sections 6 (4) of TN Scheduled Commodities [RDCS] Order, 1982 r/w 7 (i) (a) (ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955. The occurrence is of the year 2012. The allegation in this case is that the accused was found to be in possession of 9000 kgs of PDS rice. A1 to A3 are regularly attending the Court and service of summons pending against A4. There are no previous or subsequent previous cases against the accused. Page No.1 of 3
mpl 3.Considering the nature of the allegation, the antecedents of the accused and since the accused has been facing the case since 2012, any further continuation of the trial would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial of the accused and no useful purpose would be served. 4.Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.700388 of 2012 of Judicial Magistrate No.I, Krishnagiri Taluk, Krishnagiri, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
