Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to remove the encroachment made by the respondents 4 to 8 over the temple land bearing S.No.14/1 at Paivalasa Village, R.K.Pet Village, Thiruvallur District considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.03.2022 and the 3rd respondent reference Na.Ka.No.730/2023 dated 25.05.2023.

ORDER

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Ms.R.Preetha, learned counsel counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in response to the petitioner's e-mail petition No.5038238 regarding removal of

encroachments in S.No.14/1, Paivalasa Village R.K.Pet Taluk, Thiruvallur District, the respondent authorities had taken steps under the Land Encroachment Act, 1905 by issuing notice under Section 7. However, no further steps are taken.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that if the encroachment exists, the authorities would take necessary steps for removal of the encroachment. The authorities shall initiate the process for removal of encroachment in accordance with law within two months from today and shall take the proceedings to the logical end.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
