O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction primarily to the 2nd respondent to issue trade license of the Association run by the petitioner, to operate a Women's Hostel at No.27, 3rd Cross Street, Saradambal Nagar, Puducherry-605006.

2. In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition by the President of the petitioner Association, Sai Women's Association, it had been stated that a decision had been taken to start Hostel for Women with all amenities and it had also been registered on 17.11.2005 in Survey No.1081 of 2005, under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is contended that the petitioner Association had been renewed and statutory payments had been paid. It had been stated that an application has been made seeking trade license for running the Hostel. The 2 / 4

Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking consideration of the said application.

3.The 2nd respondent may issue notice to the petitioner herein and also conduct inspection of the premises of the petitioner to determine whether Hostel for Women's could be run in that particular place and also to determine whether all safeguards are available. Thereafter they may take a consider decision taken on the permissibility of running a Women's Hostel in that particular place. The decision should be taken within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
