Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records of the 5th respondent made in O.Mu.No.13084/2024/M1 dated 06.06.2024 and 6th respondent in Na.Ka.No.1919/2024/A5 dated 06.06.2024 and quash the same and consequentially direct the respondents to implement reservation for the SC (General) or SC (Women) category for the post of Panchayat President in Kelavarapalli Panchayat for the upcoming local body elections. J U D G M E N T

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) The prayer sought for in the Writ Petition is for reservation for the post of Panchayat President as SC (General) or SC (Women).

2. The decision on the question of reservation for the post of President for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Communities is the policy decision of the Government and this Court sitting under Article 226 of the Constitution of India cannot dictate as to what has to be done.
