This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.215 of 2024 registered against the petitioners for the offences under Sections 406, 420, 34 and 120B IPC, pending on the file of the first respondent police.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent police submitted that finding that no case is made out against the petitioners, the respondent police has closed the case as 'mistake of fact' and further action has been dropped. He further submitted that Referred Charge Sheet has also been filed before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate for CCB Cases, Egmore, Chennai, in SR.No.48251 of 2025.
