ORDER
This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025.
2. This case is registered for alleged offences under Sections 430 and 379 of the Indian Penal Code. The incident occurred on 29.01.2018. This is a case of one unit of sand theft. The accused is regularly attending the case. It is stated that the accused is first time offender. Considering the fact the accused is the first time offender and also he is attending the Court regularly, it is evident that any further proceedings would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial. Due to the passage of time, a meaningful trial is unlikely, and no Page No.1 of 4
useful purpose would be served.

3. Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.101 of 2018 of District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Thirukalukundram Taluk, Chengalpattu, stand quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of. 06.10.2025 grs electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
