The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 25.11.2023, registered for the offences under Sections 6(4) of Tamil Nadu Schedule Commodities ( Regulation of Distribution through card system) order 1982 r/w section 7(1)(a)(ii) of the Essential Commodities Act 1955 in Crime No.207 of 2023 on the file of the respondent Police, seeks bail.

2. The learned Government Advocate stated that this is second bail application and the earlier bail application Crl.O.P.No.27724 of 2023 was dismissed by this Court vide order 11.12.2023 due to the reason that procedure to detain the petitioner as "Goonda" as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 has been initiated. He further stated that now the petitioner has been detained under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.
