ORDER

Mr.C. Selvaraj, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The relief sought in this writ petition is a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.07.2025.

3. It is stated by the petitioner that he was working as a Bill Collector / Revenue Assistant in the Office of the Commissioner, Narasingapuram Muncipality, Narasingapuram Post, Attur Taluk, Salem, since 08.11.2019. Based on an alleged complaint, an FIR was registered against the petitioner under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 as amended in 2018. Thereafter, he was suspended from service with effect from 05.03.2025, vide proceedings dated 07.03.2025 issued by the 2nd respondent. Subsequently, he submitted a representation dated 22.07.2025 to the respondents to consider his request for reinstatement of service, in the light of G.O.Ms.No.81, Human 2/5

Resources Management (N) Department dated 04.08.2022. However, till date, no orders have been passed on the said representation. Hence, this writ petition.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.07.2025 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.81, Human Resources Management (N) Department dated 04.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents did not raise any serious objection for the limited request now made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the above, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.07.2025 in terms of G.O.(Ms).No.81, Human Resources Management (N) Department dated 04.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders on 3/5

merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after hearing the petitioner.

8. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
