O R D E R

Seeking to expedite the investigation in Crime No.12 of 2024 pending on the file of the respondent-police and file a final report within a stipulated period of time, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent-Police, on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint given by the de-facto complainant, the respondent-Police registered a case in Crime No.12 of 2024 against the petitioner for the offences under Sections 294(b), 408, 420, 465, 468, 471, 475 and 477A IPC and Section 66D of Information Technology Act, 2000. He further submitted that since one of the offences involved in the complaint pertains to Information Technology Act, the respondent-Police is not in a position to complete the investigation immediately and file a final report.

3. In view of the above submission and also considering the nature of offences, this Court cannot fix a stipulated time for filing final report. However, the respondent/Police is directed to expedite the 2/4

investigation and file the final report as expeditiously as possible, before the competent Court.
