ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner as Assessor Grade II or any other available post by considering the petitioner representation dated 05.07.2023 with all consequential benefits.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner had completed 10th standard examination in the year 1986 and he had registered his educational qualification in the Employment Office on 14.08.1986. He is a disabled person with 70% disability. The first respondent had issued a notification to fill up the post of Assessor Grade II. The name of the petitioner was sponsored and he had received a call letter to participate in the interview on 27.11.2013. Though he had participated in the interview, he was not selected to the said post, since he is over aged.

4. Thereafter, the petitioner received an information under the RTI Act stating that the maximum age limit for disabled persons to consider for their employment is 45 years. Now, the petitioner is aged about 55 years. After a

period of 11 years from the date of his attending the interview, he had submitted a representation to consider his case.

5. In view of the above, the request made by the petitioner cannot be considered and this writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
