ORDER

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking to provide Police protection to conduct Temple festival.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner belongs to a small group and they are not allowed to worship, therefore, he seeks police protection.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) on instructions submitted that there are 4 groups in the Village and they all appeared before the DSP and agreed that they have no objection for the petitioner group to worship in the said Temple, but conducting festival there was objection. He further submitted that the petitioner himself claims to be a leader of a group and wants to conduct festival, which was objected by other groups.

4. Considering the above statement, it is clear that there are 4 groups in the Village. If the petitioner wants to establish his right to conduct festival, it is for him to establish his rights before the competent Civil Court and not before this Court. It is for the petitioner to file necessary suit before the Civil Court and establish his rights. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
