ORDER
This petition has been filed to modify the condition that the petitioners are directed to deposit a sum of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rs.5,00,000/- each, by two installments i.e., Rs.2,50,000/- + Rs.2,50,000/-) to the credit of Crime No.622 of 2022 before the learned Magistrate concerned, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and on such deposit, the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on their appearance, within a period of fifteen days from the date on which the order copy made ready, before the learned Judicial Magistrate Court-II, Kallakurichi is concerned as imposed in the order dated 05.09.2025 in Crl.O.P.No.20812 of 2023.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners 2/4
are poor agriculturist and do not have sufficient funds to deposit the conditional amount imposed by this Court. Hence, he seeks modification of the said order.
3. I have carefully perused the materials available on record.
4. The allegations against the petitioners relate to job racketing, wherein they are said to have collected a sum of Rs.20,00,000/- from several individuals on the promise of providing employment. The condition imposed was proportionate to the gravity of the offence, and since there has been no change in circumstances, this Court is not inclined to modify the earlier order.
5. Accordingly, this criminal miscellaneous petition stands dismissed.
