This writ petition has been filed for direction to the third respondent to submit the report called for by the 2nd respondent in Letter Na.Ka.No. 3588/ 2023 A3 dated 15.11.2023 with regard to cancellation of patta standing in the name of Sagar Banu and Sarfudeem in respect of TS No. 3093/ 5 and 3158/6B in Kancheepuram Town and Taluk, District. 2.
Heard, the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3.
It is seen that the petitioner submitted representation to cancel the patta issued in respect of the subject land. On receipt of the same, the second respondent directed the third respondent to submit report. So far, the third respondent did not submit any report. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

In view of the above, the third respondent is directed to 2/4
submit a report on the notice issued by the second respondent dated 15.11.2023 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of this order. On receipt of such report, the second respondent is directed to conduct enquiry, after issuance of notice to the petitioner and counter parties, if any, and giving them opportunity of personal hearing, and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the said report. 5.
With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
