Respondent Prayer: Criminal Original Petitions are filed under Section 483 (1)(b) of of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, praying to modify the condition imposed by the Principal Special Court (EC & NDPS Act), Chennai in Crl.M.P.No.13341 of 2022 in so far as the direction to produce government surety is concerned.

ORDER
These petitions have been filed to modify the condition imposed on the petitioners by an order dated 03.12.2024 in Crl.M.P.Nos.13341 & 13342 of 2024 to execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned II Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore. One among the sureties of each petitioner should be a Government Surety.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are natives of Karnataka. The Lower Court, while granting bail, directed the petitioners to provide the Government Sureties as sureties. However, the counsel contends that the petitioners are unable to secure such Government sureties. He also submits that the petitioner are permitted to furnish blood relatives as sureties instead.
3. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, the condition imposed as against the petitioners is modified to 2/4
the effect that the petitioners shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with one blood related surety each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned II Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore. 06.12.2024 Index : Yes/No Internet : Yes/No Lpp To 1.The Inspector of Police, CCB - Avadi City, Avadi.
