PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records pertaining to the order of detention passed by the second respondent in his proceedings dated 19.11.2024 in C.M.P.No.74/Bootlegger/2024(M1) against the petitioner's father, Ganesan, Male, aged 60 years, S/o. Marappa Gounder, who is confined at Central Prison, Salem and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty. ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the impugned order of detention has already been revoked by the competent Authority vide G.O.Rt.No.8953, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 30.12.2024.
Thus, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken and the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
