Respondent(s) PRAYER The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned Legal Heirship certificate bearing No. TN-7202306222052 dated 10.07.2023 issued by the 2 nd respondent and quash the impugned Legal Heirship Certificate bearing No.TN-7202306222052 dated 10.07.2023 as illegal, arbitrary and issued without jurisdiction.

ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned Legal
Heirship certificate bearing No. TN-7202306222052 dated 10.07.2023 issued by the 2 nd respondent and quash the impugned Legal Heirship Certificate bearing No.TN-7202306222052 dated 10.07.2023 as illegal, arbitrary and issued without jurisdiction.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was issued with a legal heirship certificate by the 2 nd respondent on 10.02.2000.
However, subsequently, a legal heirship certificate dated 10.07.2023 has been fraudulently obtained by certain third parties. The said certificate was processed by the Village Administrative Officer without conducting any proper enquiry or verification and the same has been mechanically forwarded to the Revenue Inspector and other higher Revenue Authorities.

The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner, who has been continuously residing at his ancestral property for 62 years, is the only surviving legal heir of his deceased father namely, K.Subbiramani. The issuance of a subsequent impugned legal heirship certificate in favour of the third parties, after lapse of 23 years, is arbitrary.
4. Aggrieved the same, the petitioner made representations dated 19.09.2024 and 02.06.2025 before the authorities concerned, seeking cancellation of the impugned certificate. However, no action has been taken till date. Hence, the petitioner is constrained to file the present Writ Petition.
5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 5 submits that after hearing both parties, an appropriate order will be passed.
6. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents.
7. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the official respondents to consider the petitioner's representations 19.09.2024 and 02.06.2025 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as to the private respondents and also affording them an opportunity of personal hearing, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions ar closed.
