No.2, Pallavan House, Anna Salai Chennai-2 ... Respondent This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Both parties present. Mr.T.G.Ravichandran, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr.A.Vinoth Raj, learned counsel for the respondent are present. After mutual discussion and negotiation between both parties they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows : TERMS OF SETTLEMENT 1/4

(i) As against the award of Rs.2,93,600/-, this appeal has been filed by the claimant/injured the same as inadequate.

(ii) As per the terms and conditions of settlement arrived at between the parties, there shall be an Award for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (in full quit), which is over and above i.e., Rs.2,93,600/- as awarded by the Claims Tribunal. (iii) The respondent/Transport Corporation agreed to deposit the Award amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- passed in this Lok Adalat to the credit of M.C.O.P. within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Award;

(iv) Upon such deposit, the appellant/claimant is entitled to withdraw the entire sum without any formal application and only upon verification of the identity.
