PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records relating to the detention order vide Memo C.No.119/G/IS/2024 dated 24.10.2024, passed by the second respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents herein to produce the petitioner's son-in-law namely M.Moorthy, S/o. Murugan, aged 33 years, (who is presently under going detention in the Central Prison, Coimbatore), before this Court and set him at liberty. Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the impugned order of detention has already been revoked by the competent Authority vide G.O.Rt.No.8554, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XII) Department, dated 10.12.2024.

Thus, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken and the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
